About MINDSET Care Limited

According to a nation-wide study by the Institute of Mental Health, 1 in 7 people in Singapore have experienced a mental disorder in their lifetime and yet majority of them do not seek help.

At MINDSET, we support the mental health community by raising awareness of the understanding of mental health issues to change attitudes and the negative perceptions attached to it. We also seek to provide a holistic approach towards supporting mental health persons-in-recovery, their families and caregivers, as well as mental health social service agencies.

MINDSET pools financial contributions from the Jardine Matheson Group companies in Singapore to fund programmes and activities supporting the mental health community. Since 2011, Jardines has donated close to S$11 million to mental health programmes and initiatives through MINDSET. In addition, MINDSET organises fundraising activities among the community through corporate engagements and partnerships and channels the funds directly to selected charitable organisations.

To date, MINDSET has supported various community mental health projects, and has since established two long-term flagships. Its first flagship project, MINDSET Learning Hub, in partnership with Singapore Association for Mental Health is an integrated vocational rehabilitation centre for mental health persons-in-recovery. With a S$2 million pledge over an initial five years, the centre promotes the social reintegration of these individuals through employment. As at end 2023, MLH trained over 700 mental health persons-in-recovery
and provided close to 470 job placements in the workforce.

MINDSET’s second flagship project, DigitalMINDSET, is a collaboration with TOUCH Community Services with a S$1.6 million funding over a five-year period. Through a nine-month intervention programme and active case management, DigitalMINDSET supports youths aged 12 to 21 struggling with emotional regulation issues due to excessive cyber gaming or technological device usage. Since August 2019, the programme has enrolled 392 youths and provided support for their family members and schools.

MINDSET Care Limited is a Jardine Matheson Group registered charity committed to making a tangible difference in the area of mental health. In 2023, MINDSET was conferred the inaugural Sustainability Impact Awards by The Business Times and United Overseas Bank. Jardines and MINDSET were also conferred the Silver Ribbon Mental Health Award for Employers 2023.
